Torrance County is accepting applications for the position of a full-time Building Custodian/Janitor & Maintenance Assistant; annual salary $18,720. The employee performs a full range of janitorial/custodial assignments, normally determined by specific instructions from the supervisor or by following well-defined procedures, methods, and practices. May be required to work hours outside of normal business hours, holidays or weekends. Must possess basic knowledge of cleaning methods and products. Professional experience cleaning large facilities preferred. Maintenance experience preferred. Must be 18 years or older with a valid NM Driver’s License.  High School Diploma or GED required. Torrance County is accepting applications for three (3) full-time Sheriff’s Deputies; Salary $31,200-35,360 DOE. Certified preferred. Minimum requirements are as follows: Must be 21 years or older, have a valid NM Driver’s License, high School Diploma or GED, no felony, domestic violence or DWI convictions.  Must be able to pass background check, physical agility test, and psychological exam.  Must be able to work shifts, weekends, and holidays. The Float Clerk acts as a substitute office clerk when coverage is needed in any of the County Administrative Offices. Employee may be required to work 40 hours per week, or may work as little as 0 hours per week, as scheduling allows. Employee is not guaranteed to work consecutive days or hours.
