Scope of Work

The Facilities Management Department performs custodial, maintenance, preventive maintenance, and grounds work at all Torrance County facilities.

Vision

The vision of the Facilities Management Department is to be the benchmark of efficiency, effectiveness, and excellence in service while safely maintaining the buildings, grounds, and utilities of Torrance County to the highest Standards.

Goal

The mission of the Facilities Management Department is to serve all the citizens, customers, and employees of Torrance County by maintaining, operating, and repairing the physical assets (facilities, utility systems, grounds, and the other infrastructure) of Torrance County. Our GOAL is to do this in a responsive, pro-active, cost effective, and service oriented manner.

Current Projects

These are just a few of the exciting things happening around the county:

Torrance County Administration - Resurfacing of the existing parking lot.
Torrance County Fair Grounds - Electrical upgrades in the Exhibit hall area and show barn.
Torrance County Administration - New HVAC 50 ton package unit installation (Legislative Appropriation).
Neil Mertz Judicial Complex - Security fence installation for District Judges and Sheriff's Department.
Senior Centers - (Estancia and Moriarty) roof upgrades and repairs.
Neil Mertz Judicial Complex - Preventative roof upgrades and repairs.
Animal Services - Relocation of existing phone box and gas meter from parking lot.
PMS Estancia Health Center - New 5 tone HVAC package unit installation.
Department of Health Estancia - Install new mini-split HVAC unit installation in pharmacy.
Neil Mertz Judicial Complex - New HVAC 12 ton package unit installed on the District Attorney's Offices.
Torrance County Administration - Re-stucco project and window tinting of the East facing windows in the front lobby.
Neil Mertz Judicial Complex - New HVAC 10 ton package unit installed on the Sheriff's Department Offices.
