2026 General Election Information

• October 6, 2026 Voter Registration Closes for the General (by mail or online)
• October 6, 2026 Early/Absentee Voting Starts at the Torrance County Admin Office 8 am - 5 pm, Monday - Thursday (Voter Parking on the West side of the building)
• October 16, 2026 Alternate Site starts at the Moriarty Civic Center 10 am - 6pm, Tuesday - Saturday

Information About Open Primary Elections

Last day to Register to Vote or Change Party Affiliation for this Election is MAY 5, 2026.  

New Information on Open Primary Elections

Group 1 - Democrat & Republican can only vote for their parties and CAN NOT change their party affiliation.

Group 2 - Libertarian & Independent Party CAN NOT vote in the primary, unless they change their party affiliation to either Democrat of Republican or DTS

Group 3 - DTS (Decline to State) voters CAN vote in the primary. DTS Voters will have to indicate to the poll official what party ballot they would like.
